If you’re reading this, that means I’ve successfully deleted Instagram from my phone (hell ya) and you’re interested in staying in touch (HELL YA). Thank you for being here. In this bleak social media landscape, it means a lot to me that you’re giving my lil newsletter a chance.

Let’s get into some of what to expect from a typical email from me:

Each update will have something silly and fun to look at, like diary comics, doodles, in-progress projects, and work from other artists that I love.

This interview on the Gender Reveal podcast with Dean Spade about his new book, Love in a F*cked-up World made me feel genuinely hopeful. The book is about keeping, cherishing, and working through messy relationships as we organize for a better future, cause boy do we need each other right now.

📅 Events

Something I’ll miss about Instagram is just knowing what’s going on. I’ll share some events I’m interested in going to and encourage you to share stuff I missed. Let’s go outside together!

• Queer Fight Club is hosting a no-gi grappling tournament at Zenyo Jiu Jitsu in Baltimore. Do I know what no-gi means? No. Will I be there anyway? Yes. - Feb 22

• 50 Years of Hope and Ha-has - The incredible curators Anthony Le and Philippa Hughes put together the DMV’s first Vietnamese American art exhibition, and I can’t wait to check it out. I’m planning to be at the closing reception at the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities on Mar 1, 4-6pm!

Lastly, I'm committed to keeping this thing short on text and heavy on visuals. This post was an exception, but I'm grateful you read this far!
